My name is Mary and I am a UX/UI designer. My path to user experience came after years of searching what interested me most. As a people person, I knew I wanted to study people in one way or another. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology, while simultaneously writing for the university’s newspaper. I went on to receive a master’s degree in journalism, realizing that I valued the opportunity to connect and understand people more deeply. I felt humbled to magnify those voices in my writing.
I love to write, but the impact can feel distant and detached. My UX/UI journey began as a way to witness how my work can directly help people. I completed Columbia University’s certificate program in UX/UI design, gaining the confidence to provide user-centric flows through thoughtful iterations.
